Lithium Polymer Battery
Lithium polymer battery (abbreviated as Li Po), also known as polymer lithium battery or polymer lithium battery, is a type of lithium-ion battery. Lithium ion batteries typically consist of several identical secondary cells to increase the discharge current, or multiple battery packs connected in series to increase the available voltage.
Although lithium polymer batteries are often referred to as lithium batteries or lithium-ion batteries, they are not exactly the same in a strict sense. Lithium battery refers to a lithium primary battery containing pure lithium metal, which is disposable and non rechargeable
Lithium ion batteries, on the other hand, are the predecessor of lithium polymer batteries, with the main difference being that the electrolyte uses liquid organic solutions instead of colloidal or solid polymers.
